The Tenth Commandment

"You shall not covet..."

Curriculum catalogs are the exception, right?

"You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's."

Oh, I guess not.

Bummer!

The Soul of an Artist

Elizabeth: Mama, what is your favorite color?
Me: Well, I like red and....pink and....(looking at Shadow)...black.
Elizabeth: My favorite color is rainbow!

Jonathan's Scientific Musing, part 1

Jonathan: Mom, do you know what DNA stands for? It's Deoxyribonucleic Acid.
Me: Hey, that's pretty good, Jonathan. Do you know what DNA is?
Jonathan: Yeah, it's like a secret code.
Me: What kind of secret code?
Jonathan: Well, you are a girl and I am a boy, so we have different codes.
Me: Oh, does that mean you have the same DNA as Daddy because you're both boys?
Jonathan: NO! Everyone has a different secret code.
Me: So there's no one else with the same secret code as you?
Jonathan: Yep, Jesus made ME with a code like no one else!

Jonathan's Scientific Musing, part 2

Jonathan: Mom, it's a good thing God made our small intestine curl up inside our body. Otherwise we'd have to be as tall as our house!

"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well." Proverbs 139:14
