Colonial Farm Life Adventure

Another history adventure awaited us at Riley's Farm. Once again, we were transported back into the 1600's. The day's adventure included learning about colonial etiquette, playing colonial outdoor games, visiting the horses and cows, examining old rifles and canons, pressing apple cider, and...

weaving,

writing with feather quill and ink,

churning butter,

and dipping candles.

"Mommy, look at the candle I made!"

Could that be....why yes, it's Logan!

Are you sure there were tractors in the colonies? ;-)

Fresh mountain air. Fall colors. Learning about our country's rich heritage. An altogether lovely day.

"And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands." Psalm 90:17
