Planes of Fame

Yesterday we went on a field trip to the Planes of Fame Air Museum. What an interesting collection! We admired many planes from various eras in history and learned about the evolution of aeronautical engineering.

Our docent called to tell us that he was stuck in the mountains and couldn't show up for the tour. Thankfully, one of the homeschool dads in our group and his knowledgable 12 year old son were able to provide an interesting and informative commentary. There were a couple of times the son politely corrected his dad on airplane facts. Gotta love these homeschooled kids! :-)
