This has been a busy time for our family as I've been trying to wrap up Christmas tasks a week ahead of schedule. If you can believe it, we were evacuated again on Monday due to the heavy rain! I was at the hospital getting my pre-op bloodwork done when I got the evacuation alert on my cell. Crazy! We were allowed to return home that night, and I was able to finish addressing our Christmas cards by 1 am.
My doctor said that my recovery should take around 4-6 weeks, but I'm hoping it will be sooner. We are so thankful that my parents are here to help with the kids. The kids have occasionally expressed worry, but I've told them that I am in God's hands and that no matter what we will trust in Him. I am usually on the go, so perhaps bedrest will allow me to catch up on a little reading. Life is full of opportunities to wait upon the Lord. I pray that I will wait well.
Jonathan decided that I should have a little Christmas tree next to my bed while I recover, so he bought one with his own money and decorated it. I was so blessed by his sweet gesture.

I will post an update after I return home.
May our "Christmas rush" be a rush to the manger to worship and adore the One who came to seek and save us while we were perishing.
"Then Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word."" Luke 1:38

Holding you and yours steadfastly in my prayers.
