As I type this Nutmeg is back in surgery.
The surgeon said an x-ray revealed that her new hip was dislocated!
Apparently the muscle tissue around her hip is loose because of atrophy, so he is going to go back in and adjust a component to tighten the socket. There is a 60-70% chance this will be successful.
If it's not successful....well, that's unthinkable.
Please pray that it goes well!
