My word for the year, "beholding," comes from this verse:
"We all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
The mirror reflects what it sees. Nothing more. Nothing less. My soul will mirror what I behold, for better or for worse.
Who can be embody goodness better than the Lord? Who can speak truth more clearly than Jesus? Who can be more beautiful than the God? He is the only One worth beholding.
May I be like Moses, who came down from the mountain and "did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God."
With these thoughts stirring in me, here is my picture for the year:
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2

I love those encouraging words along with other sweet verses from Romans 12. Thank you for the uplift!
