I received a postcard in the mail announcing an upcoming Estate Sale. I used to love going to these events B.K. (Before Kids) to hunt for antiques and vintage “treasures” but I haven’t been to one in ages. I no longer have the time, and I don’t need the clutter. One optimistic Estate Sale organizer keeps sending me these notices anyway. Out of curiosity, Alan asked what kinds of items were being sold at the upcoming sale. So I read the postcard aloud to him:

I glanced up. He was still listening, so I continued.

"That's it." I looked at Alan for a response.

I paused.
