A Day of Rejoicing

In the midst of fiery trials, I am so blessed to share awesome news with you. Today, I had the incredible joy of praying with my 5 year old Daniel in giving his life to Christ!!!

The angels in heaven are rejoicing along with us!

Daniel has always had a soft heart toward the Lord, but I had been waiting for him to be able to better grasp certain concepts. Recently he has been praying, "Lord, help us to worship the one true God." To which I would add my hearty "Amen!"

This morning, as we read the Bible together, we had a wonderful discussion on the Ten Commandments, idols, sin and forgiveness. Daniel was able to clearly articulate why Jesus died on the cross, and expressed a desire to give his heart fully to the Lord. Words cannot express the joy I felt as I heard him praying!

Tonight at bed, Daniel uttered a new prayer: "Lord, thank you that I KNOW the one true God!"

There is a verse which says that God gives us treasures in the darkness (Isaiah 45:3). How very true this is. In the midst of darkness, He is still the Light of the World.

Shine, Jesus, shine!

"And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12
