Please Pray

Auntie Yoko

It's been one of the hardest weeks of my life. We just learned that my beloved Auntie Yoko has cancer in her bile duct and possibly surrounding organs.

Doctors have told her that her best option is a Whipple procedure which involves removing parts of different organs to try to contain the cancer. It is a risky operation and the doctors say there is no guaranteee she will survive it. This news hit me very hard. I have loved my Auntie as a second mom ever since I was a little girl. The thought of her going through this breaks my heart.

I am trusting that the Lord will see her through these dark times. I take comfort in knowing that He loves her with an everlasting love and desires to show her His tender mercies. I am asking in faith that He will intervene and miraculously heal her. He is the God of ALL—even cells and molecules; He can speak every cell in her body into order with just one word!

Please join me in praying for my Auntie's healing and especially that the Lord would draw her to Himself during this time. Please pray for God's hand on the doctors who will be handling her medical care. Pray that God would use me to be a blessing to my Auntie and her family. Please also pray for the rest of her family, especially her children (my cousins), as they seek to support their mom.

Thank you!

"Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord; let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me. " Psalm 40:11
