Walk Like an Egyptian

We are wrapping up, like mummies, the Ancient Egypt portion of our ancient history study.

We have read a ton of books and discovered some new faves:

The Golden Goblet
The 5,000-Year-Old Puzzle: Solving a Mystery of Ancient Egypt
The Usborne Encyclopedia of the Ancient World

We wrote our names in hieroglyphs. Studied pharaohs' tombs.

Constructed pyramids.



Marveled at the intelligence of the Ancient Egyptians. Discussed their obession with false gods.

Baked barley flatbread. Ate pomegranates, figs and dates. Drank grape juice.

Threw a Toga Party! Danced around to Walk Like an Egyptian and Pharaoh, Pharaoh.

The memories of our time in Ancient Egypt have been golden.
