Happy Birthday, Jonathan!
You are EIGHT years old today! It's hard to believe how quickly you've grown.
It seems just yesterday you were learning how to walk. Now you can run, jump and rollerblade.
Just a short while ago you were learning how to say "dog" and "hello" and "putzghetti." Now you talk about wing spans and vertical lifts and DNA and everything that catches your imagination.
We remember coaxing you to eat your first bite of rice cereal while you drooled into your bib. Now you can eat SIX tacos and still have room for dessert.
You used to pray for God to bless the ice cream man. Now you pray for Him to touch your friends and family.
There was a time you thought Disneyland was the happiest place on earth. You still love it there but now you think the nursing home we visit every month is the real place of joy.
We have loved watching you grow into a young man, and we look forward to seeing what the Lord will do in and through you in the years ahead. How gracious He is to have given you to us as our son and brother. We pray that you will see just how great He is and follow Him all the days of your life.
We love you!
Mom, Dad, Elizabeth, Daniel and Shadow
