Blogiversary

The irony of blogging is that when I have much to post I don't have enough time to do it. Yet I couldn't let today go by without posting something--it's my One Year Blogiversary! (For those who don't blog, that means I started this blog a year ago today.) My intention with this blog was to keep our far away friends and family updated on our life as well as a way for me to have a place to journal our memories. I didn't realize that blogging would allow me to make new friends from around the world. What a blessing all of you have been!

October is always a busy month here. We have three birthdays in our family coming up (Jonathan's, Elizabeth's and mine) and many birthdays among friends. Last week it seemed all I did every night was wrap gifts and make cards. I must be strange--I really enjoy wrapping gifts. If ever I need a job, I'm going to apply for a position at a gift wrapping station. The dining room table is strewn with paper, ribbon and scrapbooking supplies. Elizabeth loves to gather my scraps and make little creations of her own. A girl after my own heart. :-)

We're almost ready for Hallelujah Night (our church's Halloween alternative on Oct. 31st). Jonathan will be a fighter pilot, Daniel wants to be a firefighter (again) and Elizabeth will be a ladybug. Right now the ladybug doesn't have her spots yet, but she will soon!

"For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name." Psalm 33:21
