Sometimes Daniel says things that catch me off guard, and I have to remind myself that he's only four.

Quote #1:
The other night, we were eating dinner when Shadow scratched the door to come inside the house. Without being told, he got up and opened the door for her. I told him, “Daniel, that was great. You showed initiative!” He said sweetly, “Mommy, did I glorify the Lord?”

Quote #2:
The next morning, I overheard him saying, “Elizabeth, you have to obey Mommy. That’s what holiness is about.”

I think I may have to borrow some of his quotes. :-)
