New Blog Additions

Two new blogs!

1. Our Favorite Recipes: Over time, I'll be adding our family favorites as well as new recipes we're trying for our world geography study.

2. Our Scrapbook: This will feature some of the pages from our real-life scrapbook. Confession time--I am very sporadic in my scrapbooking efforts and these layouts are from months ago. I'm hoping that having a dedicated blog will motivate me to scrap more regularly.

Coming soon: Marvelous Mondays

Those of you who are active in blogspace may be familiar with Kelly's Thankful Thursdays (when people list three things for which they're thankful) or Donna's Friday Five (when people answer Donna's five questions for that week).

I've thought about a weekly challenge to myself (and anyone else who'd like to chime in), and I've come up with Marvelous Mondays.

Through my current Bible study with friends, I am realizing how often I focus on the negative and unpleasant aspects of my life. Last week, we meditated on this passage:

"Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." Philippians 4:6-8

It has done my spirit a lot of good by meditating on "these things" and on God's goodness.

Marvelous Mondays will help me to start the week off doing just that. I hope you will join me!
