Sirens, Explosions, Barking

Just another day in our neighborhood...

Mom, don't panic! I'm just kidding. This is actually a scene from the Police K-9 Show we attended today.

This year's show included scenarios of cops and robbers and the heroes of the day, the K-9 teams. They are the most incredible dogs we have ever seen--able to open car doors, attack criminals from 70 yards away, sniff out bombs and drugs, and fly away in helicopters without so much as a yelp.

Jonathan and Daniel enjoyed the fleet of police helicopters which flew by just for the show.

Elizabeth loved the fireworks.

Today was a good reminder that the brave and strong often come in different packages. Sometimes heroes don't wear uniforms; they wear leashes.

"Be strong and and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. " Joshua 1:9

  2. Oh, Linda! Shame on you! ; ) My eyes got as wide as saucers and my heart leapt when I read the first few words and saw the pictures.

Thankfully, "this is only a test" but it looked like fun! : )
